The ceremony to deliver the Hovione Award to the Best Student of the Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, concluded in the academic year of 2023/24, José Pedro Silva, took place on June 23, 2025, at the Amphitheatre AM, in the Mechanics II Building of Técnico, starting at 5:00 pm.

The ceremony to deliver the McKinsey Merit Award in Computational Mathematics, in the academic year of 2023/24, took place on October 4, 2024, distinguishing the winner, Diogo Francisco, student of LEMec, and also, Carolina Araújo, student of LEAer, and André Crispim, student of LMAC, both with an honourable mention.

The ceremony awarding the Title of Distinguished Professor IST 2024 to Professor Paulo Martins from DEM took place at the Solemn Session of the 113th anniversary of Instituto Superior Técnico, on May 23, 2024, at Técnico Innovation Center.

The ceremony to deliver the Apetro Award to the Best Student of the Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, concluded in the academic year of 2022/23, Filipe Araújo, took place on May 20, 2024, at the Abreu Faro Amphitheatre, in Técnico Interdisciplinary Building, starting at 5:00 pm.

The ceremony to deliver the Hovione Award to the Best Student of the Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, concluded in the academic year of 2022/23, Duarte Palancha, took place on May 16, 2024, at the Abreu Faro Amphitheatre, in Técnico Interdisciplinary Building, starting at 5:00 pm.

The ceremonies to deliver the Hovione and Apetro Awards to the Best Students of the Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Mechanical Engineering in 2022/23 will take place on May 16 and May 20, 2024, respectively.

In the context of Seminars@DEM, it occurred on November 30, 2023, the prize delivery “Professor Júlio Montalvão e Silva” (2021-2022 edition) to the Awarded Student, Afonso Gusmão.

In the Industry Day of the Mechanical Engineering Department (DEM) that occurred on day 31st October the three best Pitches of Master and Doctoral Dissertations were awarded.
