In the context of Seminars@DEM, it occurred on November 30, 2023, the prize delivery “Professor Júlio Montalvão e Silva” (2021-2022 edition) to the Awarded Student, Afonso Gusmão, with the presence of all Jury members: Professor Júlio Montalvão e Silva, Professor Manuel Barata Marques, Engineer Manuel Alves da Cruz and Professor Marco Leite.
The Master Thesis of Afonso Gusmão is entitled “Concept, design and fabrication of a low-cost extrusion-based 3D bioprinter for thermo-sensitive and light-sensitive hydrogels”, with the supervision of Professor Marco Leite (DEM, ACPMME – Scientific Area of Mechanical Design and Engineering Materials) and Doctor Paola Sanjuán Alberte (IBB – Institute for Bioengineering and Biosciences).
