More than 120 Técnico researchers among World’s Top 2% Most Influential Scientists
The Stanford ranking is published annually and shows an increase in the number of researchers affiliated with Técnico compared to the previous year.
Stanford University and Elsevier released an update of the World’s Top 2% Scientists list, which includes 200,000 researchers. In total, more than 120 Técnico researchers are among the most-cited scientists worldwide, including three scientists in both the top 10 of single-year impact, in 2022 (José Bioucas Dias, Carlos Guedes Soares and Jorge de Brito) and of career-long impact (Fernando Lopes da Silva, Carlos Guedes Soares and José Bioucas Dias). Scientists are classified into 22 scientific fields and 174 sub-fields.
