The Industry Day of the Department of Mechanical Engineering 2025 will take place on November 14, 2025, at Técnico Innovation Center, together with the Event Téc4Defence, starting with the reception of participants at 8:30 am, and occurring throughout the day until 6:00 pm, including lunch.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering (DEM), together with Students’ Organisations of Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) promoted this joint initiative that aims to discuss opportunities for collaboration in the development of dual-use technologies and solutions for both civilian and military applications, as well as to explore possibilities for cooperation and technology transfer with companies, with the goal of stimulating joint innovation and strengthening the national technological base. DEM also aims to strengthen relationships to facilitate future collaborations among students, faculty, companies, and defence institutions.
