Doctor Rui Miguel de Moura Antunes and Valejo Coelho received the award for “Best Doctoral Thesis” in the period 2020 and 2021 awarded by APCA - Portuguese Association for Automatic Control. The PhD thesis in Mechanical Engineering is entitled “Characterization of gait and ankle impedance towards rehabilitation” under the guidance of Professor Jorge Martins (DEM) and Doctor Hermano Igo Krebs (MIT).

The award ceremony will take place at the closing ceremony of the conference CONTROLO'2022 on the 8th of July.
