TSB Projects - Title: "The future of sustainable yachting"

Abstract: Presentation of TSB - Técnico Solar Boat team and its history, since its foundation in 2015 until now, covering its evolution and achievements throughout the years. Exhibition of the different prototypes already developed and the team’s future projects, highlighting the ongoing construction of the most ambitious vessel ever conceptualized by the team, as well as its context within the future of sustainable yachting. Lastly, overview of the international competitions in which the team takes part.
TSB Short Description: TSB is a university project formed by IST students from various engineering courses, specialized in the construction of competition boats powered by renewable energies. Although initially the team focused solely on solar energy, in the last few years its portfolio widened, embracing Hydrogen as an alternative energy source and, more recently, entering the autonomous sector. The team already built a total of 5 prototypes, participating with each one in international competitions. Explore TSB here.

PSEM Projects - Title: "The effect of efficiency"

Abstract: Presentation of PSEM - Project of Mobile Energy Sustainability, as a team participating in the Greenpower challenge, addressing the achievements of our most recent prototype GP23, along with the journey to reach its success, and how it can still be surpassed by a new year of development and innovation in the area of electrical efficiency. Highligh of the main technical areas that are subject of research throughout this year and the importance of this type of projects in the training of future engineers.
PSEM Short Description: PSEM, as an optimization project, aims to develop and build an electric vehicle to participate in competitions organized by Greenpower. Starting from the same requirements as all the other teams (a 240W motor and two 12V batteries), our goal is to search for efficient solutions that result in a very competitive car, in equal standing with the best of the entire competition. Explore PSEM here.

TFC Projects - Title: "A Hydrogen vehicle powering the future"

Abstract: Presentation of TFC - Técnico Fuel Cell, the latest IST prototyping team, its project, challenges faced in its first few years, and the envisioned future. Highlight of the team’s objectives, some already reached and others that we set out to achieve, showing our Hydrogen-powered Urban-concept prototype as unique in Portugal. Introduce the team, including the various integrated areas, our network of partners and the knowledge developed. Finally, mention the opportunities identified by the team to continue developing knowledge together with its network of partners in industry and the academia.
TFC Short Description: TFC is the latest IST team to develop a prototype. Since its recent foundation, it managed to establish itself with partners from industry and academia. The team involves around 50 students from various fields of engineering and different levels of education, which ensures its own renewal. The team developed its first Hydrogen-powered Urban-concept using a PEM fuel cell. Unique in Portugal in applying technology to sustainable mobility with Urban-concepts, representing IST and Portugal in competitions. Explore TFC here.
